We’ve talked about ski pants before but not ski boots. Obviously when it comes to skiing, everything else is second over choosing the correct pair of ski boots. And what we are going to introduce today is a popular ski boots brand who’s production days began in the early 1960’s. Dalbello ski boots were founded by Alessandro and Giovanna Dal Bello in the early 70’s when they decided to start their own business after working for the Henke ski boot factory in Switzerland in the early 1960’s. After entering the commercial market, things took a significant leap when they decided to hire three internationally renowned skiers to promote its brand.
After that, Dalbello began to achieve commercial success in the early 90’s in the most important markets which included North America, Germany and Austria. With the introduction of free skiing in the 2000’s, they initiated the Rider Development Program(RDP) and assembled a team consisting of Dalbello engineers and pro skiers to produce the best and the most unique ski boots in the world. Rest as they say, is history.
Some of The Most Popular Dalbello Ski Boots
Now that the introductions are done, let’s see what the most in demand Dalbello ski boots are and how that has become. We’re confident that you will be confident in making an unwavering, well doubtless ski boots choice after going through these reviews.
Dalbello

- My Fit 100% adjustable shell and inner shoe
- Weight: 4.55 Kilograms, Dimensions: 19.25 x 16.3 x 6.1 inches
- Cargo style, manufactured in 2018
- 3D grip texture
Included this first because we couldn’t find any rating short of 5 stars. Overall feedback is that they are super light, comfortable and darn stable. A user who skied on these for the first time at Palisades Tahoe states that the performance is super, the fit is comfortable and he wasn’t expecting that for the price he paid. Another user mentioned that these are rock solid on the slopes as well as easy to walk off the slopes. Stable but not a stiff ride and toe box was great for his somewhat wide foot. Everyone claims that they have had no issues with the fit and it does not compromise the breathability factor or performance. You can rest assured that your ski ride is safe with these boots on.
Dalbello Men’s Panterra 100
- Feature Powercage technology
- Dynalink heel retention
- High quality adjustable aluminum buckles
- Instant Fit liners
- High quality adjustable aluminum buckles
- Weight: 4 Pounds, Dimension: 20 x 15 x 6 inches
This is the latest revised 2024 edition of the Panterra series. Mostly focused for the advanced skiers market who wants a boot with lots of adjustment options. The heel retention is a cool addition which is an independently functioning heel/instep closure assembly to counteract foot sliding, heel lift and boot shell distortion during the flex. Skiers can sort of fine tune the adjustability of the boot with the aluminum buckles and you can twist the buckle to make it longer or shorter.
The forefoot buckle pulls the lower shell in as it tightens. This is what enables the VVF (variable volume fit) system so that these boots accommodate a wide variety of foot shapes without compromising comfort or foothold. The 3D Grip texture makes the Panterra highly robust and durable. We are trying not to get too technical with the specs because all we care is if it gets the job done and this one certainly does.
We’ve already mentioned all the features in this boot that keeps positive feedback from the users. The highlights among them are the variable volume fit that allows skiers to adjust the boot width from 102 to 100 mm, catering to different foot shapes. This is so important because you can imagine the pain when it feels like your forefoot getting crushed. The adjustable rear cuff spoiler adapts to all kinds of lower leg shapes, providing additional support and customizable forward lean.
Another one is the Cabrio 3-piece construction (shell, cuff, tongue). Its responsiveness and support during skiing is well praised because of the smooth and progressive flex while keeping the fit. However, some expert skiers commented that the 3D grip did not make a world of difference and the boots are definitely not made for walking. This is understandable as it is for skiing not walking or hiking. Nonetheless, the fact remains that the value these boots offer very much justify the price tag and makes them a best seller.
Dalbello Veloce Max 75
- IF Sport Liner
- DB Hyperlite Shell
- DB Hyperlite Cuff
- 40mm Power Strap
- Gripwalk Soles
- Weight: 2,215g
- Best for intermediate skiers
Another popular choice among the community. These boots feature a 104mm last, making them ideal for those with wider feet or for most of us who prioritize comfort. The soft 75 flex is designed to be approachable, providing an easy transition for those new to skiing or those looking to upgrade from rental boots. Users value the Veloce Max 75 for its ease of entry and exit just like most of its other models. The bi-injected shell enables this, which combines a harder material on the bottom for power transmission and a softer material on top.
This design helps reduce foot discomfort, allowing skiers to focus on improving their skills rather than dealing with pain. The boots also feature Dalbello’s Contour 5 fit concept, which provides extra space in key areas like the ankles and the navicular region, further enhancing comfort. This makes them a solid choice for anyone looking for a balance of comfort and performance on the slopes. We don’t think we need to stress out the importance of unrestricted mobility while maintaining balance.
Dalbello 2022 DS MX 70 GW Women’s
- Forefoot Width: 104 mm
- Flex Rating: 70
- DB Hyperlite Shell
- Super Comfort Liner
- Beginner to Intermediate
To all the women skiers out there. The MX 70 GW is one of the well recommended creations of Dalbello in the women’s lineup of products. The flex rating of 70 makes them soft enough for skiers to maneuver easily while still providing enough support to help improve their skills. The GripWalk soles are appreciated for their enhanced walking comfort and better traction off the slopes. However, reminding again that some skiers said that it did not make a notable difference. The well-insulated liner keeps the feet warm even in colder conditions. Overall, these boots provide a good balance between flexibility and support, which is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers aiming to improve their skills.
