Marmot Boys Edge Insulated Pant Specs Review
The sizes are available from XS to Large. As usual, let’s kick off with the material review. So the Marmot boys edge insulated pants are made out of MemBrain 10 2L 100% Polyester. The explanation behind it is that the Marmot MemBrain repels water on the outside and minimizes sweat next to skin. Paired with superior face fabrics, MemBrain’s hydrophilic PU lamination helps prevent the cold. The Thermal R™ insulation keeps you warm and toasty while out in the snow.
The soft inside lining makes it easy to put the pants on over other pants if you want extra warmth. The adjustable suspenders and button closure keeps the pants well in place even during strenuous activities. The reversed brushed tricot seat and thighs are for extra comfort. Zip leg cuffs with internal flex boot gaiter is for the winter boots and socks to keep secure from the snow. The zippered pockets are for storing the minor items such as trail maps and accessories.
Customer Feedback
The general customer feedback is positive with a 4 star rating. The parents reviewed that their kids never complained about a lack of warmth or anything similar. Also, the internal flex boot gaiters work great to keep the socks and boots warm. Putting the pants on and taking them off is quite easy because of the smooth internal lining. Mobility doesn’t appear to have been a problem as there were no complaints regarding that from kids who wore these pants even to scramble on rocks.
A mom from New England stated that it is the 4th winter her son is wearing the edge snow pants and performed great during 30 plus ski days, playing in the snow, and school recess. However, her son is relatively thin, so sizing was never an issue. Parents also say that the suspenders are a big plus. The negative feedback is mainly on the sizing issue where most argue that this is built to fit extremely thin children, especially the larger sizes. Also, some say that waist adjustment is only minimal and should have been a bit more stretchy. A few others argue that 3 pockets is overkill. Nevertheless, these pants have won the hearts of many parents and still continue to do so. You can also check out our suggestions for ski boots.
